  • Life's treats

Stumbled upon one of those random lists where you check off what you've done before...
I'm not going to go through, check off and copy and paste the entire thing, but it made me think about some of the sweet moments in life. Well those are probably (definitelY) with people, but just those moments where you just think back and think, man, experiencing this makes life LIFE. Awesome. Thank You God. :)

    - ran around, playing in the rain
    - painted a picture - a BIG BIG one - it was a volunteer project actually, kind of out of the blue. We were at a retreat center and they wanted to paint the walls around the stage just to make it look nice for future people. I believe they were going to have some kind of kids camp later that summer. So me and my friend painted a beautiful landscape, complete with rivers and mountains and rolling hills...and flowers and a blue sky with birds and a bright sun. :) It was one of those things I didn't know I could do till I picked up the brush and started painting. With each stroke I surprised myself. Painting really is a beautiful thing. It's odd that this experience was so memorable, but it's weird. It's like running into an old friend after many years and picking up a conversation where you had left off last time...as if we had promised to meet at that time, to continue the conversation. When I was younger I really enjoyed art. Art was one of my favorite classes. Yet I had never pursued it any further than what was required of my county...so last time was 9th grade. But when I picked up that brush, it was like that wall, that brush, that paint, and the painter, were all there on time. It was meant to be.
    - gave a little poor girl a keychain of Donald Duck that said "I Love Jesus" or "Jesus Loves Me" (something like that! hehe) and a little change. That's all I had. But sometimes randomly I'll find myself thinking of that girl and I'll say a little prayer for her. If I ever see her in Heaven...man...
    - met people that I will never forget - some people you come across in life are simply amazing. what ingredients God made them with are something special
    - made up my mind that first semester freshman year of college I'd start off my college career with straight A's and damn right I got those straight A's ! (pardon lol)
fine I'll do those checks, haha...

[ ] skinny dipped - I feel like this is one of those crazy things I'd like to do, although I think it's absolutely ridiculous!

    - randomly take a photographer-friend around DC and view life from his (a photographer's) perspective. Like something I'll remember is that you gotta be patient while they look around. They really take time to let the world like seep into their lenses, then they pick up their pro camera and click*click*click* you get an amazing shot. At least a couple out of a hundred, I believe is what he told me. We happened to go on a gorgeous day with bright blue skies, warm air, vibrant hot pink flowers and green grass...oh, and you have to be careful because photographer friends can also randomly take a snapshot without notice, lol.

    life treats...

sometimes we just gotta take time to stop and appreciate. compliments to the Creator! :)
